National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) was founded in 1975

On December 12, 1975, National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) was founded in Washington, D.C. 

NABJ is a nonprofit organization that was created to empower Black journalism students and media professionals. 

Today, NABJ has chapters nationwide with more than 4,000 members. NABJ consistently offers memberships, scholarships, internships and other opportunities to Black journalism students and media professionals.
