Meet Monet Smith

Mone’t Smith is a Licensed Professional Counselor who has vast experience working in the mental health field. Mrs. Smith’s educational background includes earning an associate’s degree from Tyler Junior College (2004), a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas-Arlington, and a Master’s degree from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology (2011). She dedicated 8 years to working with abused and neglected children for Child Protective Services before pursuing a career in counseling. 

In 2020, Mrs. Smith opened her mental health private practice, Healing Deep Roots Counseling, where she guides, leads, and assists many individuals to their healing journey. Mrs. Smith also runs a teen mentorship nonprofit program, The Circle of SistAhood to help give back to the community.

Mone’t Smith and Healing Deep Roots Counseling were nominated for the first quarter 2024 Black Business Scholarship.
