Black Representation Matters Series 2024

To celebrate Black History Month, TheBlack.Blog and HeavieTalk Media curated our second Black Representation Matters Series. This series emphasized the importance of Black representation and the impact it has on the Black community. Black representation is powerful. Black representation is necessary. 

The series highlighted Black representation in five specific areas: entertainment, education, sports, politics, and inventions. Each week in February we focused on an area offering informative facts both past and present day.


Black Representation Matters Series 2023

To celebrate Black History Month 2023, TheBlack.Blog and HeavieTalk Media curated the inaugural Black Representation Matters Series. The series highlighted the importance of Black representation in all aspects. The month-long series featured interviews and a daily Black history month themed narrated video series.

New interviews premiered every week. Plus, narrated videos were published daily to TheeBlackBlog Youtube channel highlighting Black representation in all aspects, industries and facets.

Black History Month is the product of “Negro History Week” created in 1926 by Dr. Carter G Woodson.
