On July 25, 1941, Emmett Till was born in Chicago, Illinois.
14-year old Emmett Till was brutally beaten in 1995 after allegedly whistling at Carolyn Bryant, a white woman. Bryant recanted her story in 2017 according to the book “The Blood of Emmett Till” by Tim Tyson.
