Olympic track star Jesse Owens dies at the age of 66

On March 31, 1980, Olympic track star Jesse Owens died at the age of 66.  

Jesse Owens is known as one of the greatest track and field athletes in history. In 1936, Jesse Owens won his first Olympic gold medal at the Berlin Olympics. He would go on to win a total of four gold medals at the 1936 Berlin Olympics.
