The 15th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution is ratified

On February 3, 1870, The 15th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution was ratified. 

The 15th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution states citizens should not be denied the right to vote based on “race, color, or previous condition of servitude.” Despite the ratification of the 15 Amendment, black Americans still face many barriers in voting rights.
