On December 29, 1907, Robert C. Weaver was born in Washington, D.C.
Robert C. Weaver was the first Secretary of the U.S. Housing and Urban Development (1966). He was the first African American to be appointed to a U.S. presidential cabinet.
He died in 1997 at the age of 89.
