On December 9, 1922, Charles Douglas Langford was born.
Charles Langford famously represented Rosa Parks in her historic Montgomery bus segregation case. Rosa Parks was arrested on December 1, 1955 after refusing to give up her seat to a white man on a Montgomery bus.
Charles Langford gained higher education from Tennessee State University before receiving his law degree from Catholic University of America.
Langford devoted his time to public service. He served in Alabama’s State Senate and State House of Representatives before retiring from [politics in 2002.
Charles Douglas Langford died in 2007. He was 84 years old.
